Paid Parental Leave for North Carolina State Employees


On Thursday, May 23, 2109, Governor Roy Cooper signed Executive Order No. 95 Providing Paid Parental Leave to Eligible State Employees. Eight (8) weeks of fully paid parental leave will be provided to and eligible state employee who has given birth and four (4) weeks of fully paid parental leave for eligible state employee in other circumstances involving the birth of a child to that employee, or the adoption, foster placement ,or other legal placement of a child with an eligible state employee. This is exciting news for North Carolina.
